WEEK 7 POWER RANKINGS

The seventh week of power rankings saw some big jumps and falls this week. The St. Louis Cornerstone and the Louisville Grumbling Groundhogs made the biggest jump of 8 spots this week while the Tacoma Pioneers saw the biggest drop of 7 spots. Three new teams entered into the top ten this week the Bobcats, Cornerstone and Crawdaddies while the Blackhawks, Highlanders and Pioneers fell out of the top ten. The National League South is still the hardest division to play in so far going 242-202 against teams outside there division with the Gullah's having the only losing record against teams outside there division (39-74). The National League West is still the weakest division to play in going 193-251 against teams outside there division with the Pioneers having the only wining record outside the division (57-54). The Bucks had the best week going 16-4 while the Gullah's and HeadHunters had the worst week going 5-15. It looks like a lot of records will fall this season in the league both pitching and hitting. Make sure the look at the magic numbers to clinch or be eliminated from the playoffs this season. Good luck to all the teams down the stretch run.

1. Monterrey Stars (93-39) (Previous Week – 1) (Magic # 13 to win the division)(Magic # 13 to make the playoffs)
The Stars went 13-7 during the week and remained in the top spot for the seventh straight week. The Stars have three players that are in the running for the National League MVP award, one player for the National League Cy Young award and four players for the National League Silver Slugger award.

2. Milwaukee Bucks (87-45) (Previous Week – 6) (Magic # 19 to win the division)(Magic # 19 to make the playoffs)
The Bucks went 16-4 during the week and moved up four spots this week. The Bucks do not have anyone in the running for the National League awards at this point in the season but that could change by the end of the season.

3. Houston Hitmen (87-45) (Previous Week – 2) (Magic # 21 to win the division)(Magic # 9 to make the playoffs)
The Hitmen went 13-7 during the week and fell one spot this week. The Hitmen have two players that is in the running for the American League Cy Young award, two players for the American League Rookie of the Year award and one player for the American League Firemen of the Year award.

4. Kansas City Bobcats (78-54) (Previous Week – 11) (Magic # 21 to lose the division)(Magic # 18 to make the playoffs)
The Bobcats went 15-5 during the week and moved up seven spots this week. The Bobcats have one player that is in the running for the American League MVP award, one player for the American League Silver Slugger award and one player for the American League Gold Glove award.

5. Anaheim Beefpound (73-59) (Previous Week – 10) (Magic # 23 to win the division)(Magic # 23 to make the playoffs)
The Beefpound went 13-7 during the week and moved up five spots this week. The Beefpound have one player that is in the running for the American League Firemen of the Year award.

6. New Britain Fisher Cats (76-56) (Previous Week – 5) (Magic # 19 to lose the division)(Magic # 30 to be eliminated from the playoffs)
The Fisher Cats went 12-8 during the week and fell one spot this week. The Fisher Cats have two players that are in the running for the National League MVP award, one player for the National League Cy Young award, one player for the National League Rookie of the Year, two players for the National League Silver Slugger award and three players for the National League Gold Glove award.

7. Atlanta Brave Vawts (75-57) (Previous Week – 3) (Magic # 28 to win the division)(Magic # 21 to make the playoffs)
The Brave Vawts went 9-11 during the week and fell four spots this week. The Brave Vawts have two players that are in the running for the American League Cy Young award, one player for the American League Rookie of the Year award and one player for the American League Gold Glove award.

8. St. Louis Cornerstone (75-57) (Previous Week – 16) (Magic # 23 to win the division)(Magic # 23 to make the playoffs)
The Cornerstone went 14-6 during the week and moved up eight spots this week. The Cornerstone have one player that is in the running for the National League Cy Young award, one player for the National League Firemen of the Year award and one player for the National League Silver Slugger award.

The Crawdaddies went 11-9 during the week and moved up three spots this week. The Crawdaddies have one player that is in the running for the American League Silver Slugger award.

The BlaZers went 6-14 during the week and fell six spots this week. The Blazers have one player that is in the running for the National League Cy Young award.
