Game of the Day: Arizona 9 - Jacksonville 6
Everyone loves Ball: Nick Ball at a great day going 3-5 with 2 doubles and a homerun. His 6 RBI game was a career high. At 33 years old he still has an outside chance of getting three thousand hits. I hope he makes it.
Winless in Jacksonville: Victor Sojo lost his 6th game of the season. But the team has told me they still believe in him and will continue to start him. Wonder how many games he has to lose before they final end this nightmare season for Sojo?
They Also Played...
Florida 5 - St. Louis 2: Herman Blair improves to 3-0 on the season. No he’s not related to Herman Munster?
Anaheim 3 - Burlington 1: Notice a pattern in Burlington so far. Offense is scoring runs; the pitchers can’t stop anyone from scoring. The Pitchers are shutting down teams and then the offense forgets to score runs. It’s going to be a long season for Burlington.
Jackson 4 - Philadelphia 2: Pepper Gunderson loves living on the edge. Gives up a run but still get’s the save.
Ottawa 6 - Cleveland 5 (15): This the kind of game that will kill a pitching staff. Great job by Victor Domingo for ending the game before the fans had to sleep at the stadium.
Monterrey 4 - Oklahoma City 3: What’s the over/under on when Donnie Washington will give up a run this season?
Columbus 11 - Milwaukee 3: If the Bucks didn’t commit any errors they would have only lost by 3. Coaches don’t lose game, players making mistakes lose games.
Minnesota 5 - Cincinnati 4: Milfoils have the Highlanders number this season. Funny how things work out like that.
Louisville 8 - Scranton 2: Game was over once Mike Vaughn hit a Grand Slam.
New York 10 - Salem 6: Can anyone stop the New York Hitters right now?
Iowa City 6 - Chicago 5: Shane Clayton has to be one of the best closers in the game? Doesn’t he?
Durham 5 - Vancouver 4: Lonnie Rizzo most of read his contract wrong or something. Right now he’s getting paid just over 6mil per save or just over 1.2mil per run given up.
San Jose 5 - New Britain 1: Do you know the way to San Jose. Well here comes there move up the National League West standings.
Portland 2 - Dover 1: A milestone was set today for Portland. Congrats to Anthony Bolling on hitting his 30th homerun.
Boston 16 - Kansas City 9: Nice football score, bad baseball, well unless you’re a Boston fan.
Charleston 5 - Tacoma 3: Tacoma’s offense makes any pitcher look like a world beater. Isn’t right Ron O’Shea?

Game of the Day 6-22-10
Game of the Day: New York 10 - Philadelphia 9
Things that make Managers Crazy: Hick Meacham & Sun Martin had a 9th Inning that will haunt them. Meacham comes in with a 5-run lead and quickly gives a hit, then walks the next three batters. Line for Meacham is ugly zero innings pitched, 1 hit, 3 walks and 4 earned runs.
The teams closer Sun Martin enters the game with no-outs and the bases loaded. Keep this in mind Martin hasn’t blown a save all year. He get’s his first batter out on a line drive. Then Bruce Arnold hits a hard shot that hits the top of the right-center field fence and fall on the other side for a game tying Grand Slam. A nice strikeout followed then Bing Kolb sends the fans in New York happy with a line drive homerun that barely makes it over the fence. Line for Martin is ugly as well, .2 of an inning, 2 hits, 2 runs, 2 homeruns.
New York Power Surge: “The team is relaxed and swinging at good pitches,” coneheads said about his team, “I told them before the season to relax and let whatever happens, happens.” Seems to be working out just fine for the offense but maybe he needs to have a talk with the pitching staff.
They Also Played ...
Milwaukee 7 - Jackson 0: P.T Ramirez pitches six solid innings and Danny Harding hits his 17th homerun on the season. Watch out National League North the Bucks are back.
Anaheim 5 - Durham 1: Mark Chang went 3-5 with 1 homerun and 3 RBI’s for a solid game. Durham bats decided to take day off.
Oklahoma City 3 - Iowa City 1: Alfonso Mendez goes 6.0 innings for the win, improving his season record to 3-5. A couple of the best pitching staffs in the league, what more did you expect.
Monterrey 5 - Chicago 2: Chicago was down 2-0 after the first two hitters in the Stars lineup. Tommie Relaford improved to 5-0 on the season.
Salem 3 - Florida 2 (12): Daniel Marte drives in game-winning run with a double in the bottom of the 12th inning. Cam Mann went 8 strong innings for the no-decision.
Vancouver 5 - Cincinnati 3: Giving up 3 homeruns isn’t so bad if you’re Dario Wallace. It’s also helps that all 3 where solo shots.
Jacksonville 12 - Ottawa 2: Jason Burns had bad start going 4.2 innings, 10 runs (8 earned), 9 hits and 1 homerun. The old Tacoma offense is loving it in Jacksonville going 6-9 with 5 RBI’s and 1 homerun.
Tacoma 5 - Columbus 0: Luis Barajas goes 8 shutout innings and helps Tacoma to there fifth shutout game of the season.
Minnesota 4 - Louisville 1: Chad Armstrong gets 10 strikeouts. Anyone remember when he was a Cy Young, Rookie of the Year and All-Star pitcher?
Cleveland 9 - Arizona 1: Did they switch the balls with golf balls in Cleveland today. Cleveland hit 6 homeruns while only giving up 1.
Dover 5 - Scranton 2: One inning was all it took for Stone Punto to pick up his first victory of the season. Now let’s see him get that ERA below 9.
San Jose 5 - Charleston 4 (10): It took 10 innings but the San Jose winning streak is still alive; 2 games and counting.
St. Louis 3 - New Britain 1: Deion Cox pitches if first complete game of the season and St. Louis continues the dominance of New Britain.
Kansas City 3 - Portland 1: See told you Kansas City could pitch.
Boston 5 - Burlington 4: Burlington tried to come back but we all knew what the outcome would be. Just 37 more wins till 50 for the Bombers.

Game of the Day 6-21-10
Game of the Day
Tacoma 4 - Columbus 0
Geronimo Seguignol: Seguignol pitched his first complete game shutout in his young career and picked up his first victory of the season. “My elbow is feeling great and I’m just happy to be pitching again,” Geronimo said.
Clutch Hits: The Buckeye Nuts had a great chance in the first inning with runners on second and third with two outs but Kid Greene flies out the right field to end the inning. In the bottom of the first inning the Saints had the bases loaded with two outs and Manny Hasegawa hits a single to score two runs.

They Also Played ...
Florida 4 - Salem 1: Herman Blair remains unbeaten on the season with a great 8 inning performance today.
Cincinnati 11 - Vancouver 6: Alex Lee has 40 RBI’s and 14 homeruns in only 33 games so far this season. Do you think the Hitmen are missing him?
Durham 6 - Anaheim 0: Alberto Sanchez pitches 8 strong innings and the Hitmen seem to be getting on track.
Monterrey 8 - Chicago 7: Clem Barkley crushes three homeruns with the last one being the game winner.
St. Louis 11 - New Britain 3: I think New Britain would like to go back Tacoma.
Minnesota 5 - Louisville 4: Darren Higginson is hitting .360 on the season. The greatest hitter in league history doesn’t seem to slowing down one bit.
Ottawa 7 - Jacksonville 4: It’s going to be a great race for MVP between Junior Lui of Ottawa and Alex Lee of Cincinnati. Lui is still hitting over .400 and has 52 RBI’s already.
Milwaukee 5 - Jackson 4: Nicholas Lowe hit the game winner but Benito Almanzar tied the game with a blast over the centerfield fence.
Boston 2 - Burlington 1: Nice job by the Bombers for allowing Boston to score only 2 runs but maybe you should ask the offense to join the game.
Charleston 10 - San Jose 9 (11): San Jose is in a bad slump. Could the teams reign of the National League West be over?
Portland 4 - Kansas City 3: It always hurts to see a pitcher pitch a complete game and lose. Better luck next start P.T. Bolton.
