Manager of the Year Award (Phase IV)

Tacoma Pioneers – tomjames
Team records
ML: 84-67 (Division Leader)
AAA: 88-56 (Division Winner)
AA: 88-56 (Wildcard Team)
HiA: 65-79
LowA: 56-88
Rookie: 42-34

GRADES

ML team: B- The Pioneers really did expect from there team this season but injuries and inconstant pitching has forced them into the divisional race all year.

Minors: C+ The upper minors played really well with both making the playoffs but the lower minors did struggle to find wins.

Draft: A- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Ray Hines The Pioneers would be in big trouble if Hines wasn’t in the lineup this season.

Team Best Pitcher: Peter Baek Baek has really established himself as one of the best pitchers in the game today.

Team Report: The Pioneers really went into this season thinking they where one of the best teams in the National League but injuries as really hurt the Pioneers as the season as gone on. It’s all about pitching in Tacoma as the Pioneers are 77-40 when they allow less then 5 runs and 7-27 when they all 6 or more runs a game and also there 50-40 when they score when both teams score less then 5 runs. If this team has any shot in the playoffs they will need to find some offensive.

Monterrey Stars – goldie1973
Team records
ML: 106-45 (Division Winner)
AAA: 77-67
AA: 99-45 (Division Winner)
HiA: 89-55 (Division Winner)
LowA: 90-54 (Division Winner)
Rookie: 54-22 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: A+ Having the best record in baseball is all you really need to know about this team.

Minors: A Every team had a winning record with only the Triple-A squad not making the playoffs.

Draft: B DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Freddie Adcock Adcock signed a one year contract for the Stars. Adcock was quickly placed on waivers once the season started.
Blake Newman Newman signed a two year contract for the Stars. Newman is mostly a defense replacement late in the game.
Jeff O'Keefe O’Keefe signed a one year contract for the Stars. O’Keefe has been a good bench player for the Stars all year.
Billy Ray Lombardi Lombardi signed a two year contract for the Stars. Lombardi is another veteran bench player for the team.

Team MVP: Bobby Henry There is a ton of great players on this team but I believe that Henry has had the best year among them.

Team Best Pitcher: Carmine Taft Taft will have the most victories of any one pitcher after the season ends.

Team Report: Everyone what’s to talk about how great the Stars offensive is and trust this could be the greatest offensive team in the short history of the USMLB. The thing that is really scary about this team is that they also have one of the best pitching staffs in the game and could be the first year where the team ERA is under 4. So not only can you not stop the Stars from scoring but you can’t even score on them to make the game interesting.

New York Fighting Molars – coneheads
Team records
ML: 65-86
AAA: 77-67 (Wildcard Team)
AA: 95-49 (Division Winner)
HiA: 87-57 (Wildcard Team)
LowA: 67-77
Rookie: 49-27 (Wildcard Team)

GRADES

ML team: C There wasn’t a whole lot of expectations for this team this season and there right where a lot of teams thought they would be at.

Minors: A- The minor league teams have done very good and are really making the people in the organization very excited about the future.

Draft: B DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Mark Chang An injury slowed down a really good year for Chang.

Team Best Pitcher: Jerome DeRosa DeRosa always seems to make the ninth inning interesting but he always some how gets the job done.

Team Report: You’re not going to win a whole lot of games when the offensive as only produced 645 runs so far this season. A lot of pressure as been put on the pitching staff with the offensive struggles and I would have to say for the most part the pitching staff has really come through and this will only help the young pitchers even more next season.

Coach hot seat ranking: Green

Portland Landports – scooterbop
Team records
ML: 77-74 (Division Race)
AAA: 57-87
AA: 61-83
HiA: 91-53 (Division Winner)
LowA: 57-87
Rookie: 12-64

GRADES

ML team: B Right there in the thick of the American League East divisional race.

Minors: D+ Expect for the HiA team the minor league teams for the Landports really struggled

Draft: C+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Will Randolph Randolph signed a three year contract for the Landports. Randolph has done very well hitting when he’s got the chance to start.
Rich Hale Hale signed a three year contract for the Landports. After struggling early in the season Hale was released by the team.
Woody Ruffin Ruffin signed a three year contract for the Landports. Ruffin has done a very nice job at the top of the order for the team.
Gary Clark Clark signed a four year contract for the Landports. For as much money as the Landports are paying you would of though he would be the closer.
Jim Buckley Buckley signed a two year contract for the Landports. I thought it was a risk for the Landports to sign Buckley to that contract and he as really struggled most of the year.

Team MVP: Peter Holmes Holmes is the really only power bat in the lineup

Team Best Pitcher: Cesar Delgado The Landports have waited a long time for Delgado to finally have the season that everyone expect him to have.

Team Report: The Landports have really been on the outside looking for most of the year but the team has gotten hot recently and has pushed themselves back into the American League North divisional race with the Crawdaddies. The team is really looking forward with playing the Crawdaddies near the end of the season that could determine the fate of the Landports playoff dreams.

Atlanta Brave Vawts – vawt
Team records
ML: 86-65 (Division Leader)
AAA: 81-63 (Wildcard Team)
AA: 82-62 (Wildcard Team)
HiA: 91-53 (Wildcard Team)
LowA: 83-61 (Wildcard Team)
Rookie: 37-39

GRADES

ML team: A- This team could approach another 100 game winning season with a strong run done the stretch.

Minors: A- Every team in the minor league system made the playoffs expect for the rookie team. Every team that made the playoffs will be a wildcard team this season.

Draft: C+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: William Hanson Hanson signed a one year contract for the Brave Vawts. Hanson has struggled a little in the bullpen this season and this could be his last year of pitching.
Don Xaio Xaio signed a three year contract for the Brave Vawts. I really think the Brave Vawts thought they where going to get a lot more production out of Xaio this season then they are.

Team MVP: Luis Nunez Nunez is going to hit the fewest homeruns in his career this year but he is still one of the best power hitters in the game.

Team Best Pitcher: Phil Nitkowski Could Nitkowski see another Cy Young trophy sitting on his shelf once again this season.

Team Report: I don’t think the team saw the early struggles that where going to face the team this season. The injuries also seemed to be piling up this year for the Brave Vawts and losing Andrew Dunston for most of the year really hurt there pitching staff to gel early in the season. But it seems like the Brave Vawts have righted the ship and could be a dangerous force once there in the playoffs again.

Jacksonville RAIDERS – deerhunter63
Team records
ML: 62-89
AAA: 78-66
AA: 74-70
HiA: 65-79
LowA: 53-91
Rookie: 29-47

GRADES

ML team: C The one goal of not losing 100 games could come true this year for the team.

Minors: C- The high minors had winning records and just missed out on the playoffs but the lower minors struggled to find the wins.

Draft: C- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Roy Shirley Shirley signed a two year contract for the Raiders. Shirley has had few chances to pitch out of the bullpen this season.
Marvin Stark Stark signed a one year contract for the Raiders. Stark has played very well even though he has played three different positions this season.

Team MVP: Frank Simmons The rookie Simmons has proved he was ready for the majors after a great season so far.

Team Best Pitcher: P.T. Bolton Bolton has finally become the staff ace the Raiders where looking for.

Team report: It looks like the rebuilding project of the Raiders may be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after the team really showed improvement this season. The one goal of the team was not to lose 100 games and I think they will accomplish that goal with a couple for victories. The injury to Bosco Campbell had really hurt this team’s offensive late in the year but hopefully he will be ready next year. Expect the Raiders to show a little bit more improvement come next season.

Colorado Rockies – demoratz
Team records
ML: 61-90
AAA: 65-79
AA: 73-71
HiA: 82-62 (Division Winner)
LowA: 86-58 (Division Winner)
Rookie: 46-30 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: D+ I think the move to Colorado was a little more drastic change for the team then they expected.

Minors: B+ The lower minors did a great job of winning there divisions and it looks like the future could really be bright for the team in the future.

Draft: A- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Tito Ramirez Ramirez signed a one year contract for the Rockies. Ramirez has really struggled this season and could retire at the end of the year.
Albert Jose Jose signed a two year contract for the Rockies. Jose is the only starting pitcher for the team with more then 10 victories.
Danny Smith Smith signed a one year contract for the Rockies. Smith was quickly released after struggling at the beginning of the season.
Damaso Nieves Nieves signed a two year contract for the Rockies. Nieves has really done a nice job hitting in Colorado this season.
Ebenezer Canseco Canseco signed a two year contract for the Rockies. Canseco has found himself in the bullpen after struggling as a starter.
Napoleon Fordham Fordham signed a two year contract for the Rockies. I thought Fordham would struggle this season and he really has struggled a lot.

Team MVP: Carmen Garcia Garcia is having the best season of his career.

Team Best Pitcher: Joaquin Diaz Don’t let the 6-7 record fool you about Diaz, he has had a very good year.

Team report: The Rockies came out of the gate just sprinting and getting a good lead in the American League West but as everyone knows the baseball season isn’t a sprint and the team has really faded down the stretch. The pitching staff has really struggle in the Colorado which was expected but I don’t think they thought it would be this bad. I believe that a rebuilding project will need to start soon and bring in players that will thrive in the thin air of Colorado if this team wants to win.

Manager of the Year Award (Phase III)

Cheyenne Xpress – powercats22
Team records
ML: 65-83
AAA: 81-63 (Wildcard Team)
AA: 58-86
HiA: 45-99
LowA: 53-91
Rookie: 34-42

GRADES

ML team: D+ Many though this team was ready to contend this season and with there second half push just shows that the talent is there.

Minors: D+ The Triple-A is the only team with a winning record, with the rest really struggling to find wins through out the year.

Draft: C- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Butch Halter Halter leads the team in runs scored and RBI’s and looks to be hitting like he was a couple seasons ago.

Team Best Pitcher: Esteban Fernandez Fernandez is the only starting pitcher that has given his team the best chance to win on a consistence basis.

Team Report: It look liked the Xpress was going to have there break out season this year but the team just got of to the worst start any team could start the season with. The pitching staff just couldn’t stop anyone from scoring on them but during the second half of the season the pitching staff has really pitched well and so has the win total for the team. Could this season just be a hiccup for the great things in the future for this team?

Coach hot seat ranking: Yellow

Houston Hitmen – szckrenyi
Team records
ML: 98-50 (Division Leader)
AAA: 85-59 (Division Winner)
AA: 56-88
HiA: 71-73
LowA: 70-74
Rookie: 44-32 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: A They have made the playoffs once again and it’s only a matter of time before the National League South is there’s as well once again.

Minors: C The Triple-A and Rookie teams won there division well the rest had less then .500 seasons but they weren’t as bad as some other teams in the league.

Draft: A DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Todd Kirk Kirk is having the break out season that the Hitmen where looking for from him.

Team Best Pitcher: Magglio Salinas Salinas has really made himself into one of the best closers in the game.

Team Report: It’s simple for the Hitmen, play young cheap players and still win a majority of your games and they have done this once again. The goal of 100 victories looks like that is in the bag. Prove that there young players could play no matter what there age is, also check that off. Establish yourself as one of the perennial contenders, well I think Houston can also check that one off, as this team will be around the top of the American League for a long time to come.

Coach hot seat ranking: Blue

Cincinnati Highlanders – yanksrule
Team records
ML: 81-67 (Division Race)
AAA: 90-54 (Division Winner)
AA: 85-59 (Division Winner)
HiA: 97-47 (Division Winner)
LowA: 87-57 (Division Winner)
Rookie: 51-25 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: A- Wildcard race is tight but the team really has there eyes set on the American League East crown even more.

Minors: A+ Every team has won there division which can’t be said for any other team in the league this season.

Draft: C- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Kennie Sexson Sexson signed a 1 year contract for the Highlanders. Sexson as struggled a little at the plate but his defense has been solid once again.
William Adcock Adcock signed a 3 year contract for the Highlanders. It hasn’t always been pretty for Adcock this season but he has found a way to win, which is all you can ask from your starter.
Donte Cashman Cashman signed a two year contract for the Highlanders. Cashman hasn’t hit for the power that the team was expecting but he has still been solid this season.

Team MVP: Matt Reagan Reagan as now had three straight seasons of 40 homeruns and 100 RBI’s, so I think it’s save to say Reagan is one of the best hitters in the game.

Team Best Pitcher: Donne McClellan After waiting several seasons for McClellan to establish himself as a reliable closer, the Highlanders finally got there wish this season.

Team Report: Well the main goal for this team was to make the playoffs and it looks like that goal will be accomplished as they are seating in the driver seat in the wildcard chase. If the team continues to play the way they have lately they could take the American League East away from the Brave Vawts for the first time since season one.

Scranton Beet Farmer’s – aaron
Team records
ML: 70-78
AAA: 77-67
AA: 87-57 (Division Winner)
HiA: 75-69
LowA: 66-78
Rookie: 46-30 (Wildcard Team)

GRADES

ML team: C+ The Beet Farmers has struggled all season to get to the .500 mark but I think they will fall just short this season.

Minors: B- Most of the teams where in a position to contend for a playoff spot with the Double-A team winning there division

Draft: B+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Adam Thomas Thomas is doing something any team would love to have, he just gets on base, with over 100 walks he is really doing his job.

Team Best Pitcher: Steve McIntyre McIntyre has really bounced back after having his elbow problems fixed from last season.

Team Report: The Beet Farmer’s really though they had a good chance of winning the division and making the playoffs this season but it looks like those chances are falling to the way side as the season is coming to a close. I don’t think this season is a total lose for the Farmer’s as they could have one of there best season as a franchise and as really found some players that can stick around with the team for a while.

Coach hot seat ranking: Green

Chicago Blackhawks – mrtheedge
Team records
ML: 83-65 (Wildcard Chase)
AAA: 38-106
AA: 36-108
HiA: 81-63
LowA: 86-58
Rookie: 24-52

Grades

ML team: B+ They have been fighting for the final wildcard spot for most of the year and it doesn’t look like it will be resolved until the last game for the Blackhawks.

Minors: C- The upper minor teams where just awful this season as the team looks to have most of there talent in the HiA and LowA teams this season as they where the only ones with winning records.

Draft: D+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Gene Guerrero Guerrero signed a two year contract for the Blackhawks. Guerrero is finally producing the numbers to the talent he has as a pitcher.
Tony Armas Armas signed a three year contract for the Blackhawks. Armas is still hitting like always and a little pop has come back to his bat this season.

Team MVP: Nick Ball Ball is the big power bat in the lineup and the big run producer as well.

Team Best Pitcher: Norman Jordan I think it’s time to put Jordan in as one of the top closers in the National League after another solid season from him.

Team Report: The Blackhawks look like the best team in the National League North at the beginning of the season and early in the season they where sitting at the top. The team has stumbled a little since the All-star game but they are still in a great position to win the Wildcard spot with a really good last week to the season.

Coach hot seat ranking: Blue

St. Louis Cornerstone – kk73
Team records
ML: 83-65 (Division Leader)
AAA: 90-54 (Division Winner)
AA: 93-51 (Wildcard Team)
HiA: 116-28 (Division Winner)
LowA: 105-39 (Division Winner)
Rookie: 62-14 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: B+ Another division title looks likes it’s in each for the Cornerstone this season and with there improved offensive could be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

Minors: A+ Every team has made the playoffs with the Double-A team being the only team without a division crown to go with it.

Draft: A- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Carlos Alvarez Alvarez is having the greatest season of his young career this year.

Team Best Pitcher: Ed Jefferson I don’t even know why teams even try to play the ninth inning when the Cornerstone have the lead, every one knows Jefferson will be on the mound during that time.

Team report: Well the main goal of the team to win every division from the major league team to the rookie team came really close as only one minor league team couldn’t hold up there part. This team has always been about pitching and defense but the offensive has really come into play this season and could be the reason for the teams first post season series win once they make the playoffs.

Coach hot seat ranking: Blue

Jackson Blazers – bodean
Team records
ML: 87-61 (Wildcard Chase)
AAA: 76-68
AA: 44-100
HiA: 41-103
LowA: 84-60
Rookie: 33-43

GRADES

ML team: A- Looks like another wildcard berth for the Blazers this season but could be one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs once again.

Minors: D+ The Triple-A and LowA team where the only team with winning records with the Double-A and HiA team each getting over 100 losses this season.

Draft: B+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Tim Perry Once the Blazers provide some protection in the lineup for Perry, he goes and has his best season this year.

Team Best Pitcher: Greg Flanagan Flanagan last season didn’t get any run support and this season he has and the wins just keep coming for him.

Team report: The Blazers start every season with one goal and that is to win the World Series and with the offensive improved this season they could really challenge for it this season. I don’t know how being one of the top three teams in the National League but not winning your division will play on the minds of the players, if it will make them more focused during the playoffs or more lacked.

Coach hot seat ranking: Blue

Boise Hurricanes – movet22
Team records
ML: 55-93
AAA: 47-97
AA: 18-126
HiA: 3-141
LowA: 26-118
Rookie: 22-54

GRADES

ML team: D Nothing was really expected from the team this season as they are rebuilding.

Minors: F This had to be one of the worst minor league teams to play in the league in a long time.

Draft: C- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Wes Withem If Withem was playing for a winning team, he could be in the running for MVP this season.

Team Best Pitcher: Rico Martin Martin could be a future closer for the team after this season performance.

Team report: The rebuilding project for the Hurricanes is still under way but with the way that the minor leagues played this year it could be a long while before the fans of Boise see a winning team in the park. Withem is star that is just about to really shine and could be the foundation that this team could build around but how long will he want to play for a team that’s not winning?

Manager of the Year Award (Phase II)

Arizona Sting – texanboiler
Team records
ML: 77-68 (Wildcard Chase)
AAA: 43-101
AA: 67-77
HiA: 65-79
LowA: 75-69
Rookie: 44-32 (Wildcard Team)

GRADES

ML team: B+ The beginning of the season was hard on the team but they have really played well during the second half and have pushed themselves into the wildcard chase and trying to take away the American League West from the Beefpound.

Minors: C- The Triple-A team has been really bad this season with the rest of the teams being average with the lower minors slightly better then what was expected from them.

Draft: C+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Dummy Palmer signed a two year contract for the Sting. Palmer has mostly just served as the backup catcher this season.

Team MVP: Diego Campos Campos is one of the best pure hitters in the league this season with a great average and some pop in the bat.

Team Best Pitcher: Shane Haad Haad has really become an elite closer this season and probably the best in the American League.

Team Report: I don’t know if the Sting knew there offensive was going to be this good and the pitching would struggle at times during the season but they seem to really have it working out of late and are really making the Beefpound sweat. It should be an interesting race to the very end for the team.

Coach hot seat ranking: Blue

Durham Bulls – hacker7
Team records
ML: 71-74
AAA: 76-78
AA: 76-78 (Wildcard Team)
HiA: 83-61 (Division Winner)
LowA: 86-58 (Division Winner)
Rookie: 37-39

GRADES

ML team: C The Bulls have been making a great run as of late but the early struggles put this team too far behind to think about the playoffs this year. This will be the first season for this franchise that they will not make the playoffs but six straight seasons of winning records can still be made.

Minors: B+ The minor league teams really played well and have brought a lot of excitement to the team about the future.

Draft: D+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Adrian Duncan signed a four year contract for the Bulls. Duncan has been a good DH this season and has hit more then 30 homeruns once again.
Theo Harvey signed a one year contract for the Bulls. Harvey’s first full season as a starter has really done well crushing the ball all around the park.
Norm Long signed a three year contract for the Bulls. An injury during the middle of the season slowed Long down a little but he is still having a good year.

Team MVP: Glenn Matheson Scary thing about Matheson is that he’s only 24 years old and only getting better.

Team Best Pitcher: Yamil Guzman Guzman has been steady most of the year and leads the team in strikeouts.

Team Report: Looking back at the beginning of the season the team should have gone after some pitching instead of offensive players as the pitching staff has really struggled. The offense is one of the best in the league this season and could get over a thousand runs by the end of the season. Mistakes where made at the beginning of the season for the team as new management had taken over but it seems like the team has gotten back on track as the season as gone on.

Coach hot seat ranking: Green

Boston Braves – warswics
Team records
ML: 67-78
AAA: 45-99
AA: 67-77
HiA: 46-98
LowA: 65-79
Rookie: 40-36

GRADES

ML team: C overall this really hasn’t been a bad year for the Braves, with Atlanta and Cincinnati in the same division you really have to look towards the future if you want to compete.

Minors: C- The minors have really struggled this season for the team. The young players though have really learned how to play together as a team.

Draft: A- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Mandy Adams signed a four year contract for the Braves. Adams has really been a great lead-off hitter for the team and setting a career high in stolen bases this season.
Cesar Delgado signed a two year contract for the Braves. Delgado has struggled somewhat coming out of the bullpen this season.
Rigo Lopez signed a three year contract for the Braves. Lopez has really been knocked around in the bullpen this season.
Ray Greenwood signed a 2 year contract for the Braves. Greenwood has done a very nice job for the Braves this season and is looking forward to another season with them next season.
Brad Campbell signed a 2 year contract for the Braves. Campbell has really been one of the best bullpen pitchers for the team this season.

Team MVP: Ben Donahue Donahue leads the team with 100 RBI’s and just always seems to bring someone in when the team really needs it.

Team Best Pitcher: Pablo Alfonzo Alfonzo has really made a great jump from the bullpen to the starting rotation this season.

Team Report: The Braves I really think has taken a good step in the direction of getting a winning team in Boston this season. The young players are playing better then excepted and the offensive has improved. The pitching staff still need some work but being the middle of the pack in the American League isn’t a bad thing overall.

AAA: 78-66 (Division Winner)
AA: 69-75
HiA: 74-70
LowA: 76-68 (Wildcard Team)
Rookie: 52-24 (Division Winner)

GRADES

ML team: A The team has really played well and has surprised a lot of people this season.

Minors: A- The minor league system has done really well with three out of the five team making the playoffs and just having one team with a losing record.

Draft: C+ DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Ira Walsh signed a four year contract for the Crawdaddies. A big injury ruined his season for him.
Olmedo Ayala signed a four year contract for the Crawdaddies. The team signed him to be there closer but he has really struggled.
Ricardo Martinez signed a two year contract for the Crawdaddies. Traded to the Charleston Gullah's.

Team MVP: Al Vazquez Vazquez has really become a elite shortstop this season with his bat and glove.

Team Best Pitcher: Herman Blair Blair has really become the staff ace this season.

Team Report: To be honest I didn’t think the Crawdaddies would have a winning record and really surprised that there winning there division and will probably make the playoffs. It really goes to the management of the team for putting together a team that is all about the team and winning the right way. The defense has been so good that the pitchers are just relaxed out there and really shutting the teams down because of this.

New Britain Fisher Cats – jayw11

ML: 83-62 (Wildcard Chase)
AAA: 85-59 (Wildcard Team)
AA: 107-37 (Division Winner)
HiA: 96-48 (Division Winner)
LowA: 85-59 (Wildcard Team)
Rookie: 44-32

GRADES

ML team: B- The Fisher Cats thought they would be winning the National League North but the team struggled a little at the beginning of the season to get themselves too far out of the lead.

Minors: A Every team in the minors has a winning record and made the playoffs expect for the Rookie team who just missed out.

Draft: A- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Reid Ward signed a four year contract for the Fisher Cats. I don’t think the Fisher Cats management though that Ward would struggle like he has this season.
Darryl Schmidt signed a two year contract for the Fisher Cats. Was traded to the Cheyenne Xpress during the season.
Pedro Flores signed a one year contract for the Fisher Cats. Flores has been nothing but a back-up catcher this season.

Team MVP: Erik West Can a third MVP award be handed to West this season?

Team Best Pitcher: Raymond Pavlov Pavlov has a great chance of breaking the all time win record and another Cy Young award for him this season.

Team Report: The main goal for the team is to make it to the World Series after coming so close after last season, which they may not win the division but they have a good chance of making it as a wildcard team. This could become a very dangerous team if they make the playoff where I think no team will what to face them. I think if they had a steady closer this team would see a much better record and a chance at the National League North crown.

ML: 69-76
AAA: 42-102
AA: 70-74
HiA: 73-71
LowA: 79-65
Rookie: 6-70

GRADES

ML team: C The team had a good first half of the season with going 47-44 but the second half the team has really struggled going only 22-32 with the pitching staff struggling.

Minors: C Expect for the teams Triple-A team and Rookie team the minor league teams have played really well and where in a lot of races for most of the year.

Draft: D DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Chief Martin Martin is really the only big power threat in the lineup this season for the Pirates.

Team Best Pitcher: Walt Cortes Cortes was having a great season until he found himself on the DL.

Team report: The Pirates have really had a up and down season with the pitching staff being the main reason for that. The offense has been good this year and really has pulled out some games for them. I believe if this team had made a couple for moves to the pitching staff this team would be close to the division leader and have a chance at the playoffs this year.

GRADES

ML team: D+ I don’t think anyone thought the Gullah’s would struggle this much this year.

Minors: D+ The minor league teams for the Gullah’s has really not play that well especially the Rookie team that was just awful. This could be a sign that there will be struggles for this team to win games in the future.

Draft: C- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: Santos Alvarez signed a two year contract for the Gullah’s. Alvarez has done a good job in the backup role this season.

Team MVP: Andy Diaz Diaz is having his best season ever for the Gullah’s this season.

Team Best Pitcher: Harry Martinez Martinez has struggled this season but has shown flashes that he could become a good pitcher in this league.

Team report: The honeymoon in Charleston has really worn off already with the team struggling for most of the year. I know the National League South is a tough division to win in but I think many people though the Gullah’s could compete a little bit more. It’s been a really bad combination of bad hitting and worse pitching this season. This could be the start of a rebuilding project in Charleston.

Draft: B- DRAFT GRADE REVIEW

Player acquisitions: None

Team MVP: Victor Cruz In his first full season as a starter Cruz has proven he was ready.

Team Best Pitcher: Ryan Bando The Chupacabras would not be in contention for the National League West if Bando wasn’t closing the door down in the ninth this season.

Team report: I don’t think any one thought the Chupacabras where going to be this good this fast but they have been and are sitting in the middle of a pennant race to show for it. The offensive as been as good as everyone though but the pitching staff has really surprised a lot of people and the bullpen has really held the leads so far. The future is very bright for this team as the players are now getting use the hitter’s park in Tucson, which could make this team very dangerous in the next couple years.
